JOB DESCRIPTION

The College of Dentistry is looking for a Clinical Office Representative to support the

UFCD DMD

screening program. This role involves assigning patients, managing schedules, verifying forms and financial information, determining student needs related to patients, consulting with the patient advocate to ensure patient satisfaction, and providing coverage and support to the screening clinic.
Patient Assignments
Responsible for the assignment of patients for the student DMD program.
Uses database in place to determine the needs of students for requesting patients to meet requirements for graduation.
Checks and corrects all forms from screening clinic to ensure accuracy and correct codes and financial information.
Accesses pools with patient advocate to ensure patients are needed and the proper follow up is provided for dismissals.
Provides reports for the number of patients assigned monthly.
Patient Satisfaction and Service
Consults with the patient advocate to ensure the student patient pool is full with qualified patients.
Emails patient advocate in a timely fashion of current messages pertaining to patient satisfaction and service quality calls.
Returns calls on patient advocates’ behalf as needed.
Assists with calls and questions.
Other Duties
Provides coverage and support to screening clinic.
Checks the screening schedule to ensure patients are appointed.
During staff shortages, fills in at the clinic and works as a dental assistant and/or scheduler ensuring all policies and practices and OSHA related concerns of the clinic are met.
Provides back up to various positions (sterilization, patient registration, clerical support). Other duties as assigned.

EXPECTED SALARY

$20.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.

PREFERRED

Dental assisting certificate or 1 year of dental or dental assisting experience or one year of medical experience
Computer knowledge (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access)
Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
