Performs resident related restorative care services as determined by the Director, Clinical Services or Physical Therapy and in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern senior care facilities. 2. Assists patients in becoming ambulatory with appropriate equipment and in a safe manner. Removes splints or prostheses in transferring the patient from one location to another. Encourages patients to help themselves whenever possible. Provides the patient with good body alignment and positioning when in wheelchairs or on walkers. 3. Follows designated patient care plans in helping patients with active range of motion (AROM) and passive range of motion (PROM) as assigned. 4. Monitors and reports daily activities of patients to include evaluating and documenting patient progress. 5. Assists licensed nursing staff and other members of the health care team in providing activities of daily living, gives emotional and social support and performs numerous tasks for the comfort and welfare of the resident. 6. Maintains treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required. Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the administrator concerning restorative care services. 7. Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary. 8. May be required to interpret restorative care policies and procedures for personnel, residents, family members, etc., as necessary. 9. Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, etc., to keep abreast of current changes in the health care field, as well as to maintain a professional status. 10. Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information. Reports known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.
