Referral Coordinator 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 2515 Countryside Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33763 Job description VeriMED Health Group is one of the leading healthcare providers in the greater Tampa area (Clearwater) with 19 independent clinics. We have a select team of medical professionals in our clinics and provide superior care to a Medicare Advantage geriatric population and other demographics. We are looking for a Referral Coordinator to add to our amazing team in this very busy primary care physicians office. We are looking for someone with some experience to refer our patients for the specialty care they need. If a patient must be seen by a specialist, it would be your job to schedule that patient. If you have some experience as a referral coordinator, have worked in a PCP office, and are not afraid to make a difference in the lives of our patients, we want to talk with you! Come join our team of amazing people and work a great schedule, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with 1-hour lunch break (no evenings or weekends)!
Responsibilities:
Prepare referrals and obtains authorizations Schedule and reschedule appointments with the specialist office Coordinate pre-op testing and surgical clearance visits in office Notify patients of the future appointments and/or procedures Communicate with insurance company and/or provider office Gather daily hospital updates on patients admitted to the hospital Maintains updated network information Process insurance requirements Assist front office with phones, as needed And other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:
Bilingual preferred but not required- Spanish and English EMR experience, preferably eCW 1-2 years working in a busy PCP office 1-2 years of experience as a Referral Coordinator Reliable transportation Able to pass an AHCA background check Excellent verbal and written communication skills General knowledge of Managed Care Environment
