Care Coordinator (Young Adults) SUMMARY Are you a recent graduate in psychology, social work or a related human services field and looking for hands-on experience in the mental health field? We can provide you with the training and experience you are looking for. The Academy is seeking a compassionate and motivated candidate to assume duties as the Care Coordinator for young adults (ages 18 – 29) at our location in Sarasota County. We focus on the 8-Dimensions of Wellness (emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual) in support of adults recovering from mental illness. We are seeking a high-energy candidate who thrives on teamwork and service to others.

EMPLOYMENT OVERVIEW

All Academy positions are hands-on, direct service roles that support the psychosocial rehabilitation process. This includes mentoring and coaching duties both on-site as well as at community-based educational and employment settings. Experience working with persons with mental illness or other disabilities is preferred, although not required. The Care Coordinator role is a full-time position whose primary duties include: Responsible for co-leading psychosocial rehabilitation, focusing on young adults. Role model professional workplace behaviors, attitudes and relationships. Work side-by-side with Academy members (adults living with disabilities) in all aspects of Academy operations Support members as they develop individualized goal plans within the 8-Dimensions of Wellness Assume additional vocational responsibilities, as assigned.

OVERVIEW OF REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or a related field.

Language:

bilingual English-Spanish a plus Excellent interpersonal skills Adaptability Be a non-smoker both on and off site Willingness to submit to alcohol and drug screen upon hiring, and random drug testing while employed Subject to State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and local law enforcement checks Valid Florida Driver’s License, subject to a DMV records check and approval by Academy at Glengary, Inc., insurance carrier Possess a privately owned vehicle or must be able to access locations, possibly at a moment’s notice, that may not be accessed by public transportation Please note: This post is an overview of job duties and not a complete job description. COMPENSATION

Starting salary range is $44,000 – 49,000/year
