Ophthalmology Office Coordinator Eye Consultants of Savannah 16741 Highway 67, Statesboro, GA 30458 Job Duties Handling administrative and clerical duties to support the smooth operation of our ophthalmology office. This role involves tasks like scheduling appointments, managing patient records, processing referrals, and coordinating patient flow. This role is crucial in maintaining a well-organized and efficient office environment to ensure optimal patient care and support the clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling and Patient Management:

Scheduling appointments, including initial consultations, follow-up visits, testing, and laser procedures. Managing patient flow to minimize wait times and ensure efficient clinic operations. Coordinating with other departments, such as financial counseling, for patient procedures. Handling patient inquiries and providing necessary information.

Administrative Tasks:

Answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate staff. Maintaining and updating patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Handling billing questions and patient payment processing.

Office Coordination:

Ensuring the office is well-stocked with necessary supplies. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Coordinating with other staff members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Communication and Customer Service:

Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families. Communicating effectively with patients, doctors, and other staff members.
