Dental Treatment Coordinator Job Summary We are a private group dental practice seeking a highly motivated, organized, and patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator . The ideal candidate is a team player with a deep understanding of dental procedures, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to guide patients through their treatment and financial options. This role is pivotal in ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their dental care journey. Key Responsibilities Patient Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding treatment plans. Explain procedures, timelines, and financial arrangements clearly and empathetically. Reassure and support patients through complex treatment processes. Treatment Planning and Scheduling Develop and present personalized treatment plans based on the dentist’s recommendations. Schedule procedures efficiently, considering patient availability and office workflows. Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless scheduling and preparation. Financial Counseling and Insurance Provide detailed explanations of treatment costs and available financing options. Assist patients with understanding insurance benefits and estimating out-of-pocket expenses. Facilitate financial arrangements and manage payment plans when needed. Administrative Support Perform front-desk duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in and out. Prepare patient charts and ensure accurate, compliant record-keeping. Assist with daily reports, deposit reconciliation, and monitoring production and collection goals. Collaboration and Communication Act as a liaison between the dental team and patients to ensure clear communication and continuity of care. Participate in team huddles and staff meetings to align on office goals and patient care strategies. General Office Duties Support office operations by assisting with reactivation campaigns, insurance inquiries, and compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Handle other tasks as assigned by the Office Team Lead.
Qualifications and Requirements Experience:
Minimum 1 year of dental front office or treatment coordinator experience preferred. Prior sales experience is a plus.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (certifications or further education are a plus).
Skills:
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, treatment planning, and insurance processes. Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Open Dental) and general computer skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
