Job Description

Residential Care Coordinator The Baddour Center 3297 Highway 51 S, Senatobia, MS 38668 Community Living in Mississippi

  • Baddour (CLIMB) is a community services program that was opened by The Baddour Center, Inc. to serve adult people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities and/or autism in Mississippi who are qualified to receive services through the Ms. Department of Mental Health / Medicaid. Our community program consists of Day Services
  • Adult and Supported / Supervised Living in community homes for persons whose services are funded through either the 1915c Medicaid Waiver or the 1915i Medicaid Community Services program. CLIMB is expanding to open a third community home in the next few months. We are hiring for day and overnight positions (12 hours primarily / 7 am to 7 pm
  • 7 pm to 7 am).

Our care staff are responsible for supporting and teaching the persons we serve how to live more independently in their own home. Core duties in the community homes setting (7 days per week) are providing supervision and support to persons served in their homes and town: Teaching and assisting with 1) household management (meal preparation / serving meals / clearing the table / doing dishes / care and selection of clothes / doing laundry / cleaning and keeping rooms neat) 2) self-care and managing personal health (assisting with taking medications / assisting with appearance and personal care / doing what health care providers ask and 3) coordinating and supporting persons served to live in and access their community (going out ot eat / personal banking / arranging shopping trips / supporting leisure activities / reinforcing connections to family and friends). Core duties in the day services setting (M-F) are engaging residents in enriched activities, serving a noon meal and snacks, and accompanying them to community spaces and events (driving company provided vehicles). Extensive paid training is provided prior to assuming responsibilities for care. CLIMB offers competitive wages, benefits, training, and a great working environment with great management support.

Also good to have:

Previous experience in home care or nursing home settings is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy is highly valued. Familiarity with non-invasive monitoring techniques to ensure safety and well-being. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within living spaces. A caring attitude towards individuals requiring long-term care support. Certification in First Aid / CPR is a plus, demonstrating readiness for emergency situations.
