TO APPLY
Please email your resume, a brief note about yourself, and a response to how you would handle the following 3 hypothetical scenarios that an Eligibility Coordinator may encounter while conducting phone screenings (there are no wrong answers!). 1. A potential patient divulges a sensitive previous diagnosis that would automatically rule them out of a study. How do you tell this patient that they are not eligible for participation? 2. During a phone pre-screening for a Borderline Personality Disorder study, a patient reveals a previous diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder, which is an exclusionary condition for the study they applied for. The patient states they believe the Bipolar Disorder diagnosis is an incorrect diagnosis. How would you proceed with this patient? 3. A successfully pre-screened patient expresses nervousness about taking a new medication for their symptoms. What would you say to this patient? Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to reviewing your application!
