Job Summary:

Assistwith the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unitenvironmental standards under the supervision of a licensednurse.

POSITION OVERVIEW

In this role, you will be able to administerADLs, vitals, lab draws, acute checks, place foleys, and straightcaths. Coming soon will be wound care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance ofunit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensednurse. Assists with day to day delivery of patient care. Facilitates efficient and safe patient care and flow byfollowing work area standards. Serves as a liaison for communication and education of patientand family needs. Supports unit operations and patient flow by maintainingsupplies, equipment and unit environmental standards. The responsibilities listed are a general overview of theposition and additional duties may be assigned.

TECHNICALCAPABILITIES

Planning & Organizing (Fundamental Awareness): Demonstratesability to anticipate basic resource needs, identify discretetasks, set priorities, define dependencies, schedule activities,meet deadlines, and organize work for own assignments andresponsibilities. Clinical Competencies (Novice): Demonstrates sufficientfundamental proficiency to assist and perform clinical careincluding but not limited to vital signs, phlebotomy, specimencollection, medication administration and point of care testing asdirected by unit standards. Care Partner Patient Documentation (Fundamental Awareness): Haslimited experience or training working with clinical applicationsfor patient documentation. Environment of Care (Fundamental Awareness): Has limitedexperience or training working with set up and maintenance ofpatient exam rooms, supplies and equipment.
