Job Description
Apartment Coordinator 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Columbia, TN 38401 As a member of the case management team this position will: coordinate donations, ensure all transitional apartments are safe, adequately stocked and prepared for clients, provide supervision of participants, complete follow-up, and assist clients toward meeting their goals/objectives, other case management functions as needed. All advocacy/support related functions are to be completed with an understanding and utilization of trauma-informed care. Job Description 1. Oversee program according to procedures. 2. Orient new clients to the services, rules, and procedures of the transitional apartment program. 3. Provide in-house assistance for clients in transitional apartments. 4. Ensure apartments are deep cleaned, stocked and in good working order for a new resident within 2 weeks of opening. 5. Ensure all clients receive donations as needed including, but not limited to: Clothing, hygiene items, cleaning items, and household items. 6. Assist all transitional clients to develop daily living skills (cleaning, organizing, etc.) and provide referral information to needed resources. Documentation of all calls and visits in a timely manner in case files. 7. Work one day (Monday) a week in the Thrift Boutique setting up new items. 8. Minor maintenance of transitional apartments. Maintain connection with landlord for larger maintenance issues/repair needs. 9. Receive and sort donations; ensure clothes closet and food pantry are organized and well maintained. 10. Maintain records of receipt of all donations and mail tax receipts. 11. Maintain records of distribution of donations to all victims of domestic and sexual violence, stalking and human trafficking. 12. Answer the crisis line and maintain documentation of all calls as needed. 13. Collect used cell phones and send to appropriate agency for refurbishing or payment and maintain records of cell phones received and sent out. 14. Maintain stock of cell phones to be given to victims for emergency use. 15. Attend scheduled team and training sessions as well as staff meetings. 16. Maintain up-to-date, accurate and understandable records, including monthly reports. 17. Be available to be on-call for 4 to 5 days each month. 18. Pick-up/Sort/Distribute donations as needed. 19. Create curriculum to teach organization (financial and housing) and cleaning skills. Teach classes. 20. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
