out of 5 stars 801 West Gordon Street, Thomaston, GA 30286 Utilize daily discharge logs to verify medical records of all discharged patients are retrieved, scans and index all documents into the correct patient record, analyze the medical records of inpatient and out patients for completion in accordance with regulatory guidelines and establish policies and procedures, works collaboratively with coding to ensure prompt follow-up and completion of Physician Queries, monitor coder’s worklist to identify medical record deficiencies that are to be completed; follows-up in a timely manner, answer telephone, route or handle calls appropriately to assist both internal and external customers, respond to faxed request in a timely manner after obtaining proper authorization, review and respond to emails, monitor daily worklist to ensure medical records of discharged patients are promptly processed/cleared off list; consistently meet or exceed quality and productivity standards for the processing of medical records of discharged patients.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, previous hospital experience, and two years (2) of experience in a hospital HIM department or job-related experience.
