Job Summary and Qualifications
As a work from home Informatics Analyst, you will join the HIM, Coding, and Abstraction department. This department partners with internal HIM, Coding, and Abstraction stakeholders and external stakeholders, for example and not limited to, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), Regulatory Compliance (REGS), and Clinical, Quality, and Operational Corporate Departments, in the creation and facilitation of business technical and analytics requirements and processes, the execution of those created processes, and ongoing support of operational models. This work will support a variety of technology and analytics platforms and projects across the HIM, Coding & Abstraction portfolio. The Informatics Analyst will collaborate with other resources assigned to project teams, making decisions in support of direct and matrix leadership. The Informatics Analyst is a crucial member in the development lifecycle from discovery to implementation as they work with the project team members to define and clarify requirements, identify and resolve project issues, and ensure the solution meets the intended goals. What you will do in this role: Lead requirements development for technology platforms within the HIM, Coding, and Abstraction department including requirements for end-users that use the technology solution, impacted by the technology solution and/or output from the technology solution Identify risks and opportunities regarding the design, implementation, and future use of content by end users Creating vision and product process flow/road map from inception to delivery/implementation. Recommend design solutions using the expansive technology and analytics capabilities within the organization Manage the creation of deliverables and communicate/present findings to a large range of stakeholders, including Operations, Development, Testing, Education, and Training teams Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions using various techniques with diverse internal and external stakeholders Document workflows using workflow design tools (for example, Visio, PowerPoint) that support requirements Facilitate effective communication among all team members to ensure comprehensive understanding of needs, expectations, and requirements Complete projects in collaboration with HIM, Coding, and Abstraction department team members, IT, and other various roles to evaluate outcomes across enterprise Engage stakeholders to resolve issues with data transmission, or to coordinate changes in file layouts or file processing Assist with defining reporting needs for technology products and roadmaps
Qualified Candidates Will Possess:
1-3 years of reporting and data analysis experience required Advanced Microsoft Office/Excel experience required. Experience using workflow management software (i.e. JIRA) a plus Experience in the healthcare delivery environment (clinical/support) highly preferred Experience analyzing healthcare enterprise-sized (very, very large) data sets Excellent oral and written communication skills in in individual and group setting Bachelor’s degree in informatics, analytics, business analytics, statistics, computer science or related field required Parallon provides full-service revenue cycle management, or total patient account resolution, for HCA Healthcare.
