Summary Job Summary:
The Quality Auditor is responsible for planning and executing data and quality audits for the purpose of examining and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the Patient Access processes. The Auditor also monitors the effectiveness of the scheduling process through Moffitt’s internal controls, and monitors compliance with the Patient Access established policies for both productivity and quality. This position has a high level of autonomy as the Quality Auditor works closely with all levels of Patient Access leadership (supervisors, managers and directors) on projects and reviews at leadership’s request. Additionally, this position exerts a lot of influence on Patient Access leadership in providing feedback on current processes, assessing the effectiveness of the Patient Access key compliance with scheduling and productivity. The Quality Auditor supports all scheduling areas, including but not limited to: Clinic Access, Clinic Access Satellite clinics, Patient Appointment Center, New Patient Appointment Center, Clinic Coordination Assistants. as such, this position is not contained in one area of Patient Access as the work is based on the resources needed anywhere in Patient Access.
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Accounting, Finance and/or related business field.
Minimum Experience Required:
Minimum three (3) years of healthcare patient access and/or audit-related experience (can be experienced in any of the teams that fall within a Patient Access role).
- OR•Associate’s degree with an additional two (2) years of healthcare patient access and/or audit
related experience may be considered “in lieu” of a Bachelor’s degree. - OR•High School diploma with an additional four (4) years of healthcare patient access and/or audit
related experience may be considered “in lieu” of a Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
Competence with MS Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to efficiently multi-task projects independently
