Established in 2007, our ACT program has a proven track record ofsuccess in helping individuals with severe and persistent mentalillness achieve greater independence and integrate back into theircommunities. We serve up to 120 individuals in Wake County,focusing on reducing reliance on institutional settings whilefostering self-sufficiency. $55,000

Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for adults withchronic mental illness across various programs. Collaborate with the ACT team to develop individualizedtreatment plans that address clients’ unique needs and goals. Implement evidence-based interventions such as MotivationalInterviewing, CBT, and DBT. Help clients build skills for independent living, includingcoping mechanisms, self-care, and resource utilization. Document progress and outcomes accurately andcomprehensively.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling,Rehabilitative Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling, Social Work,or a closely related field. Minimum of two years of clinical experience working with adultsexperiencing chronic mental illness. Valid LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC, or LCMHC-A North Carolinalicensure. Strong understanding of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual(DSM) and its clinical application. Proven ability to utilize evidence-based practices likeMotivational Interviewing, CBT, and DBT. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to buildrapport with clients and team members. Commitment to client-centered care and a passion for helpingindividuals overcome challenges are essential.
