Summary
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for the successful transition and clinical data integration from the Legacy EHR to eCW as part of Pediatric Associate’s growth strategy. Responsible areas of implementation would include but not limited to coordination with IT Project Lead and Integration Project Lead, data migration validation, coordination of data analytics, and arrange for clinical bolt-on applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-EHR transition

Assess and ensure EHR readiness for implementation
Actively participate in the discovery phase of the practice to collect information regarding the current operating model as well as current utilization of legacy EHR.
Identify and collaborate on prioritization of necessary changes or build additions to EHR to smooth transition. Build of provider templates, new lab orders, order sets, pharmacies, etc…)
Assist Integration Manager in coordinating eCW training
Responsible for all clinical data elements in data migration projects. Knowledge of legacy EHR systems to assess pre-integration operational models and coordinate with data analytics to provide reporting prior to eCW Implementation.
Go-Live Implementation
- On site lead for EHR transition elbow to elbow support.
Point of contact for during EHR implementation for on-site support
Assist with development plans for area workflow changes that support long term success
Facilitate implementation of first priority operational integration changes related to EHR processes as determined by Senior Leadership
Develop successful and regular communication including feedback loop with the Director of Integration.
Oversee efficiency of EHR use and develop plan for optimization of functionality to maximize revenue.
Regularly analyze measurable performance as they relate to the stated goals.
Manage and give direction to support training staff when needed during implementation.
Ensure that interfaces with 3rd party vendors are functional within eCW and responsible for establishing the appropriate clinic workflows to use them efficiently.
Safeguard the best end-user experience.
Post Implementation
- Efficient transition to virtual support team.
Ensure that clinical data migration elements are complete and accessible for providers.
Develop appropriate work arounds for accessing clinical data in case that data elements were not able to be migrated.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Indirect supervision over EHR clinical data migration specialist(s)
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Associates degree in business, health care administration or a related field. Agile and/or other project management certification.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a primary care or multispecialty clinical setting, including at least 2 in a management position with proven success of implementing change and support of corporate mission.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Accelerated knowledge and expertise in management of EHR systems and the integration in health care settings
Current knowledge of best practices in practice management and operations.
