Job Description

EPIC Analyst
The Epic Analyst 2 plays a vital role supporting the Epic system. This position collaborates with stakeholders, end-users, and application teams to enhance the Epic application’s functionality, configuration, and accessibility. The Epic Analyst 2 ensures seamless day-to-day operations by providing application support and resolving issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
Acts as a primary point of contact for application end-users, identifying and addressing issues to ensure smooth functionality.
Designs, builds, and maintains the Epic application to meet organizational needs and standards.
Supports all stages of testing and documentation workflows to ensure effective implementation of clinical processes.
Provides ongoing application support, including evaluating and resolving service tickets, implementing changes, and ensuring timely access to data.
Works with team members to implement application updates, new features, and training programs to enhance system performance.
Evaluates the impact of IT solutions on clinical workflows to optimize operational efficiency.
Participates in on-call rotations to provide support outside regular hours as needed.
Engages in relevant committees to contribute to decision-making and process improvements.
Maintains consistent communication with team members through participation in weekly project meetings and status updates.
Regularly reviews project progress and issues with leadership to ensure alignment with goals.
Gains a thorough understanding of operational policies, procedures, and business practices.
Complies with University and unit-level policies to protect assets and ensure operational integrity.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or field, or equivalent experience.
Epic Certification in a relevant specialty or field.
Experience
At least 3 years of relevant experience in Epic system support or a related area.
Key Skills and Attributes
Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
Proficiency in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving a variety of technical challenges.
