We are seeking a talented individual to join our GovernmentConsulting team (GHSC) at Mercer. This role will be based inPhoenix, Minneapolis or Atlanta. This is a hybrid role that has arequirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

TheSr. Government Data Consultant will serve as a data team leader,working directly with actuarial, financial and data analysts,clinicians and health policy consultants, on large, complexprojects.

We will count on you to: In conjunction with the other project leaders, work with theclient to define and manage the scope of the project, serve as anexpert on data methodologies, and ensure consistency with industrystandards. Oversee all data processing activities and provide on-goingreview and guidance throughout the process. Inform client andproject teams on the reasons and impacts of data anomalies,exceptions on the analysis, and formulate solutions. Utilize SAS programming software to interpret, validate andanalyze large health care data sets. Collaborate with client and project teams to finalizemethodologies and educate clients on the impact of their policieson the data. Work with Mercer actuaries, clinicians, and health policyconsultants using data to support the design and implementation ofinnovative and comprehensive solutions to emerging and/or uniquechallenges faced by clients. Work with project leaders to identify growth and developmentopportunities for junior data analysts on project teams. Provideguidance, oversight and mentoring to junior data staff asneeded.

What you need to have: BA/BS or equivalent experience required 5+ years of healthcare claims data experience required Experience overseeing project teams Experience using SAS, SQL or equivalent programminglanguageWhat makes you stand out? Theapplicable base salary range for this role is $88,000 to$176,000.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such asexperience, skills, training, location, certifications, education,and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to thebase salary, this position may be eligible for performance-basedincentives.
