This position serves as the primary build and support contact for assigned Epic modules and requires candidates to hold current Epic certifications in Healthy Planet, with Cosmos and Ambulatory certifications preferred.
ONLY EPIC-CERTIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED.
Essential Responsibilities Serve as primary support contact for application end-users and Epic module specialists Develop, design, configure, script, test, and support applications for business, research, and instructional functions Build solutions using programming expertise for day-to-day problems including maintenance and modification of complex inter-related applications Evaluate hardware availability and software requirements for optimal system performance Identify and resolve issues that arise in Epic applications through systematic troubleshooting Guide workflow design, build and test systems, and analyze technical issues associated with Epic software Implement requested system changes and enhancements based on user requirements Serve as liaison between end users’ workflow needs and Epic implementation staff Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and participate in weekly project team meetings Develop understanding of operational needs through site visits and integrated sessions Review project status and issues on ongoing basis with leadership team Conduct weekly team communications discussing deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and milestones Coordinate and direct computer systems and application design and development Assess user needs through customer discussions and promote technical understanding Manage timelines, financial resources, and team activities to achieve project success Required Qualifications Epic Certification in Healthy Planet Population Health (REQUIRED – 5+ years) 8+ years Epic implementation or operations support experience 8+ years Health IT experience with healthcare systems 5+ years familiarity with Epic tools: Registries, Reporting Workbench, Decision Support, Health Maintenance, Best Practice Advisories 8+ years knowledge of Epic Care Everywhere, SmartForms, Meaningful Use, Specialty Modules, Marketing, Demonstrations, Procedure orders 5+ years familiarity with Epic integration tools, patient/provider outreach tools, and MyChart 5+ years familiarity with case/care management workflows and wellness programs 8+ years thorough knowledge of assigned data and system usage via test plans/scenarios 5+ years familiarity with quality reporting initiatives (PQRS, ACO/MSSP, Meaningful Use) 5+ years familiarity with health plan concepts and workflows 8+ years application development and system integration experience 8+ years enterprise systems experience with best business practices 8+ years software quality assurance/testing experience Preferred Qualifications Epic Cosmos and Ambulatory certifications Advanced Epic certifications in related modules Healthcare population health management experience Project management certification Why Join Us Work with cutting-edge Epic Population Health technology Lead implementation of transformative healthcare solutions Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes Opportunity for continuous learning and Epic certification advancement
