Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals’ only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.

Position Summary:

Manages the daily operations of the laboratory to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational goals. Oversees staff scheduling, performance, training, and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Responsible for budgeting, equipment maintenance, supply management, and vendor relations. Ensures high-quality laboratory services through implementation of evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement. Collaborates with physicians, clinical staff, and other departments to support accurate and timely diagnostic testing. Supervises lab personnel and fosters a professional, growth-oriented work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two (2) years of education: Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree preferred Graduate of Program in Discipline, required or validated by current licensure Certified through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT)
