Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will have the opportunity to work in an independent 17025 ISO-accredited laboratory that invests heavily in state of the art instrumentation and analytical technologies and works with a multitude of Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTC) to provide them with high quality analytical data. Modern Canna Laboratories is seeking a laboratory manager with experience operating commercial laboratories. You would be joining our laboratory team in Lakeland FL that is responsible for analytical work in a fast paced, high throughput laboratory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with all state regulations and industry standards Managing laboratory staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations Ensuring the accuracy and reproducibility of test results through robust quality assurance and control measures Maintaining laboratory equipment, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise Developing and revising SOPs to align with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices Overseeing inventory management, ensuring the availability of necessary reagents and consumables Collaborating with clients to provide technical support and address inquiries about testing services Ensuring laboratory compliance with

ISO 17025

standards, including preparation for audits and inspections Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and testing capabilities Leading the implementation of new testing methods and technologies

WHAT YOU NEED

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field 4 or more years experience in an analytical laboratory preferred Experience with the operation and maintenance of LC, GC, and ICP-MS instrumentation preferred Experience working with a Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Experience working in an

ISO 17025

environment preferred
