REQUIRED
Associates degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution, plus four (4) years’ experience as a medical technologist/med lab technician. Must submit to color vision acuity test. Color vision acuity is required to safely perform the duties of this position.
PREFERRED
Computer skills: knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel); basic statistics skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Master’s Degree in science Certified as a technical specialist (ASCP). Two years of Supervisory and/or management experience in a clinical laboratory. Expertise in assay development. Experience in various methods of nucleic acids purification (DNA, RNA) Knowledge of various platforms for real-time PCR (TAQMAN, FRET, etc. Knowledge of workflow for sequence analysis and/or DNA-fragment analysis. Ability to prioritize required duties and responsibilities, to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts and to draw valid conclusions.
