Job Description

Actively Interviewing for, Manager of Laboratory Services for medical laboratory in Norcross, GA! Job Description Responsible for providing managerial support for technical and business activities. This position involves managing assigned departments, exhibiting leadership, and maintaining knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements. The role requires maintaining excellent communication with all personnel and keeping current with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities Manage and organize all departmental activities for remote location. Perform and facilitate corrective and preventive actions in response to audits and deviations. Participate in project management. Oversee workforce staffing management. Assure timely delivery of all test reports. Participate in departmental budget planning and resource management. Develop, initiate, and lead team-oriented work projects for validations, process improvements, and SOP implementation aligned with strategic goals. Maintain strict adherence to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels. Evaluate equipment performance and analyze quality control data to resolve deviations. Analyze and prepare reports measuring and monitoring laboratory performance. Interview and make personnel recommendations regarding hiring, terminating, promoting, demoting, evaluating, counseling, and salary changes. Display positive leadership skills and champion management directives. Foster an atmosphere of open, honest communication and knowledge sharing. Consistently improve performance outcomes in customer satisfaction, worker engagement, operational excellence, innovation, and financial performance. Maintain a positive work attitude and participate in self-improvement as an effective leader. Participate in continuing education and attend meetings as required. Train and mentor new employees as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Certified Medical Technologist (MT)(CLS)/ MLT or equivalent preferred. Six or more years of laboratory experience. One year of laboratory experience in a high-throughput testing laboratory. Two or more years of supervisory experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. One year of managerial experience is preferred. Work Environment Work in a laboratory CLIA environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 1pm to 9pm.
