Using our campus, woodlands and farm for place-based experiential learning is a priority of the Dartmouth Climate Collaborative. The Campus as Lab Program Manager will serve as a communicator, operational liaison and coordinator for faculty and student research, and scholarship focused on our campus, Dartmouth lands and in our surrounding community. These projects may generate research that inform advancements in built and natural systems, infrastructure, and processes, as well as meaningful learning experiences for Dartmouth students. The Manager will identify tools needed to ensure well designed Campus as Lab (CAL) projects going forward, and work within the Sustainability Office and with broader Campus Services team members to build them. This position is both art and science, and requires a high level of interpersonal skill, empathy and listening ability, as well as project and time management capability.

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications•Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in sustainability-related field.
Experience working in an academic context.
Demonstrated experience conducting research or providing support within research and operational environments.
Skill in project management, operations and research coordination, data management and analytical skills, ideally including rigorous valuation of environmental assets.
Excellent collaboration and teamwork, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, collaborative publication, and translation of ideas across disciplines.
Demonstrated community engagement skills in a complex social environment.
Proven track record of positive contributions to team dynamics, supporting colleagues in a highly motivated and evolving environment.
A sense of humor.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively across a broad range of disciplines and campus constituents (faculty, students, and staff). Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree (or equivalent training)
3-5 years’ experience in an academic setting in operations or academics.
Advanced understanding of global sustainability and ability to translate that understanding to the applied local scale.

Conduct Campus as Lab Outreach Actively conducts Campus as Lab (CAL) outreach to ensure a stable pipeline of CAL projects and effectively captures and communicates the impact of CAL initiatives to increase visibility: Actively and consistently conduct CAL outreach to departments and students across a broad range of disciplines
Develop resources for students and faculty seeking CAL opportunities (including web-based and print materials)
Capture and communicate the impact of CAL initiatives and enhance visibility
Serve as advisor to students, faculty, academic professionals, and staff developing CAL proposals, including feasibility assessment, budget and timeline development as needed
