Join Catholic Health, a patient-focused organization, as you take on the innovative role of Director of Cardiac Services in Buffalo, New York! The Position The Director of Cardiac Services will be responsible for providing strategic planning, on-site leadership, and program development for Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, part of Catholic Health. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Director will oversee approximately 105+ FTEs across Recovery/MICU, Non-Invasive, and Cath Lab unit(s). This leader will collaborate with physicians, staff, and executive leadership to identify methods of enhancing quality, patient experience, throughput, and fiscal management to ensure optimal performance rates throughout the department and organization. The Director will strive to intensify program development, financial accountability, and quality initiatives, and will closely monitor key metrics to identify areas of improvement to ensure optimal patient care and departmental performance. Serving as a key member of Vascular Services across Catholic Health entities, the Director will serve as a visible leader and strive to empower departmental staff members by creating positive working relationships, strong communication, and collaborative initiatives to ensure staff, physicians, and leaders are able to achieve common departmental goals. This leader will be responsible for the development and implementation of clinical programs, collaborating with operational and clinical leaders to analyze, adjust, and optimize interdepartmental operational and fiscal growth. Ideal candidates will bring extensive knowledge pertaining to CVICU operations/procedures, including familiarity with systems such as Impela and ECMO. Candidates will ideally bring strong interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills to effectively drive growth while simultaneously enforcing accountability, innovation, and performance. Requirements MSN is required. Active NYS RN license is required. A minimum of five years of progressive supervisory experience within a related setting is required. Management experience within a surgical and/or post-surgical setting is strongly preferred. Compensation Details The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
