Instructor of Practice, or Assistant Professor of Practice / Exercise Science Lab Manager #1335 Position Available In Lackawanna, Pennsylvania

Marywood University invites applications for a full time faculty member/lab manager within the Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science Department. This is a 9-month faculty appointment within the Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science Department. Candidates are being considered for the ranks of Instructor of Practice and Assistant Professor of Practice.

Responsibilities:

Teaching in the Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science Department
Developing course materials, learning objectives, and assessments
Academic and professional advising
Department, college, university, and community service
Participation in university and department open houses, and meeting with prospective students
Participating in the ongoing development and evaluation of the Exercise Science program curriculum
Oversight of daily operations of the Exercise Science lab, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices
Management of the laboratory budget, inventory, and equipment maintenance
Assistance with all laboratory sessions conducted in the Exercise Science program
Regular implementation of physiological and biomechanical testing for members of the local and regional community
Marketing lab services via our website and social media
Maintenance of Exercise Science Lab testing schedules
Assistance with faculty and graduate student research design and implementation
Coordination of research project schedules, participant recruitment, and data collection activities

Minimum Requirements:

a minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field
a commitment to the mission and core values of the University
previous teaching and/or clinical experience in Exercise Science-related coursework/topics
Experience conducting physiological and/or biomechanical testing

Preferred Qualifications:

Exercise Science or Nutrition-related national certifications (e.g.

CSCS, RDN, ACSM EP

)
