Lab, Office, & Fulfillment Manager TN Scientific 6700 Baum Drive, Knoxville, TN 37919 Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and proactive Lab, Fulfillment & Office Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our small but growing facility. This role includes managing our laboratory, fulfillment center, and office space. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to work independently, and confident in both hands-on tasks and team leadership. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the workspace runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently—whether that means manufacturing reagents, shipping orders, maintaining cleanliness, or coordinating team communication. Duties Oversee daily fulfillment of harm reduction test kits and lab-made products for government contracts, distributors, and individual buyers. Manage the organization and workflow of the lab, office, and warehouse spaces. Manufacture and quality control various chemical reagents (training and HAZMAT certification provided). Coordinate inventory, shipping supplies, and workspace cleanliness. Respond professionally to customer inquiries by email and phone. Supervise daily task flow and enforce scheduling, cleanliness, and accountability among team members. Handle general office tasks including printing labels, processing orders, and maintaining files. Ensure OSHA and chemical safety standards are followed. Communicate with the owner frequently via phone or text to report updates and request guidance. Maintain standards during solo shifts—many days, you’ll run the space independently. Identify and pursue opportunities for commission through sales to larger clients. Skills Strong leadership and organizational skills Comfortable working solo or leading a small team Reliable and punctual with excellent follow-through Able to enforce policy and hold peers accountable professionally Basic computer proficiency (Mac-focused, occasional Windows use) Strong written and verbal communication skills Willingness to do both office and physical labor (cleaning, packing, printing, etc.) Quick to learn and follow chemical safety protocols Compensation $15-$19 per hour, depending on experience.
