Administrative Job Summary Responsible to Assistant Vice President for Student Success for managing all aspects of the University Testing Services (UTS); providing information to ETSU faculty, staff, and students and the general public about the UTS; promoting and overseeing ETSU’s course-test administration service; maintaining and promoting the university’s relationships with the Educational Testing Service, American College Testing, the College Board, and other organizations providing high-stakes tests; ensuring the secure operation of ETSU’s high-stakes testing operation; maintaining testing services data and records and ensuring client and test confidentiality; managing UTS’s budget, responsible for the growth and maintenance of the center’s primary mission of returning course time to students and instructors, and performing other related duties as assigned. Knowledge of computer-based testing procedures and a variety of computer-based exams
Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act and Privacy Act regulations
Knowledge of test security and confidentiality standards and procedures
Ability to interact effectively with testing companies
Ability to manage a complex budget to ensure the best use of funds
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Three years’ experience in higher education staff, administrative positions, or the equivalent in a professional setting.
One year of experience in an education testing center or in a professional testing center.
Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of experience working in a higher education testing center or a professional testing setting.
A master’s or equivalent degree is strongly preferred.
