Job Description
General Supervisor – Oncology Diagnostics Hartmann Young is partnered with an exciting clinical-stage liquid biopsy company, advancing diagnostic tests for early-stage cancer detection. They are looking for a General Supervisor to join the team, working on site in Tennessee and reporting into the General Manager of Operations. The role Day-to-day, you’ll oversee operations for a CLIA laboratory, including scheduling of both personnel and clinical runs to meet defined turnaround times. You’ll directly supervise laboratory personnel, working with the Laboratory Director to ensure compliance of all processes and procedures with state / federal regulations, and company policies. The requirements Ideally, you’ll have: Current Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor License; Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution; At least 4 years of supervisory experience in a high-complexity laboratory; Experience in obtaining laboratory certification (initial and/or recertification) from CLIA, Tennessee Medical Laboratory Board, and CAP. The person Ideally, you’ll be: Proficient in instrumentation maintenance (e.g., spectrophotometers) and troubleshooting; Exemplary in Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP); A strong leader, with excellent communication and organisational skills, able to mentor and train staff effectively.
