Job Description

Actively Interviewing for Entry Level Lab Technologist to join top medical laboratory in Norcross, GA! •Looking to have candidate start as soon as Monday, June 23rd, 2025! Job Description As a Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing assigned to the department. You will maintain a comprehensive understanding of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform effectively and maintain excellent communication with both the department and other laboratory services personnel. You will competently perform all assigned departmental duties, which may include pre-analytical tasks such as receipt, qualification, and preparation of samples for testing, as well as conducting CLIA waived tests and moderate to high complexity testing on patients, donors, or biologic products using routine chemistries through automated or semi-automated methods. Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing assigned to the department. Maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain excellent communication with the Department and other Laboratory Services personnel. Competently perform all assigned departmental duties. Perform Pre-Analytical tasks, CLIA waived tests, and moderate/high complexity testing. Recognize and report unusual test results to management in a timely manner. Operate equipment using established protocols within quality control limits. Identify equipment malfunctions or technical problems and resolve them. Strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare and maintain reports/records and perform computer data entry. Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline. 0-1 year of laboratory experience in academic or industry settings. Proficiency in laboratory techniques, chemistry, lab equipment, CLIA standards, biology, and medical procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols. Work Environment The position is based in a warehouse and laboratory environment. The laboratory is large, well-lit, clean, and fosters a positive working atmosphere. It is currently expanding, including the addition of a Microbiology laboratory. Regular work schedule is Sunday-Tuesday, 7:00 AM•7:30 PM with rotating Saturdays. Training schedule options include

7:00 AM•5:30

PM, or Tuesday-Friday:

7:00 AM•5:30 PM. The organization conducts performance reviews every six weeks to provide feedback and support career development.
