Qualify :
Bachelor’s degree required. Eligible for Medical Technologist certification (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
Essential Functions :
Assure accurate and timely performance of patient procedures and/or issuance of blood products. Assure accurate and timely performance of results reporting, QC and QA procedures according to departmental policy. Follow proper safety and identification procedures when dealing with patients and/or specimens under any circumstance or environment to prevent the spread of bloodborne and/or airborne diseases. Improve work skills through self-study and continuing education. Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the section and department. Exhibit and promote the professional image of laboratories. Adhere to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
