Compensation Range:
$33.84 – $43.99 The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximumpensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’spensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
Provides specialized testing and support for the laboratory section. Performsplex technical assignments, which are broadly outlined and require theoretical insight and interpretation. Exercises a high degree of skill and judgment and an understanding of the principles and methodologies of laboratory science. Oversees instrument maintenance/standardization, daily quality control and adnce to all policies (Hospital and Laboratory). Communicates with internal and external clients clearly and professionally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepares and analyzes patient samples using currentplex laboratory methods/instrumentation. Determines specimen integrity prior to analysis. s results of patient sample analysis usingputer/instrument interface options. Participates in the development of and ads to safety, quality control and quality assurance protocols. Performs and ads to quality control and quality assurance protocols. Performs equipment preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, as scheduled or needed. Participates in the training of other technologists, technicians, and/or residents. Assists supervisor in maintaining supply inventory and participates in special procedures. Assists the supervisor in writing and updating procedures as needed and assumes the additional responsibilities of supervision as qualified/applicable. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology required Or equivalentbination of education and experience
