The Nurse Educator Maternity Services will be based outof a community hospital in North Carolina that provides exceptionalcare to patients throughout North Carolina and SouthCarolina.
Reporting to the Director of Women & Children Services,the Maternity Nurse Educator will oversee nursing education for theLabor Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Special Care Nursery,and Pediatric Department. Responsibilities of the Maternity NurseEducator include new-hire orientation, managing the preceptorprogram, ensuring best practices are utilized, updating policyprocedures, and working as a liaison between the nursingdepartments and the education team.
The ideal Maternity NurseEducator will have previous clinical experience working in a LaborDelivery, Mother Baby or NICU unit, along with experience as apreceptor, educator, or charge nurse within a women and childrenservices unit.
