Job Summary The Oncology Clinical NurseEducator (OCNE) is the clinical expert of the commercial teamproviding education for the Incyte oncology brands through on-labelclinical discussions and disease state awareness to non-physicianpatient care teams (PCT), including nurses, nurse navigators,pharmacists, and advanced practice providers (APPs), includingnurse practitioners and physician assistants, to drive exceptionalPCT and patient experiences. This position will be responsible forthe following geographic territory: Massachusetts, Maine, NewHampshire, Vermont, and Northern NY OCNE will establish self as thekey educational resource for the PCTs and patients tocomprehensively understand treatment with Incyte oncology products.
OCNE will support PCTs and patients by delivering educationutilizing approved resources within the established geography. TheOCNE serves as the strategic education leader across academic andcommunity oncology accounts within the assigned geography. The OCNEwill analyze accounts to develop and execute an education planaddressing unique identified customer needs. The OCNE willestablish engagement plans, monitor market dynamics, andcompliantly collaborate with cross-functional partners to supportPCTs and patients. The OCNE will be accountable for conducting allactivities in accordance with current regulatory and complianceguidelines. Key Job Responsibilities Build enduring relationshipswith PCT members within an assigned territory. Develop and maintaina strategic educational territory plan addressing unique identifiedcustomer needs through understanding market and therapeuticlandscape dynamics Able to use strategic questioning to uncoverclinical insights from engagements to shape educational plans.
Educate PCTs on disease state awareness for appropriate patientidentification. Educate PCTs regarding on-label profile of productsincluding but not limited to dosing, administration, and safety.
Deliver education to patients in patient advocacy and support groupsettings. Demonstrate ability to communicate complex clinicaltopics to diverse audiences. Participates in projects as identifiedby Area Associate Director or National Director. Attend and/ordeliver clinical information at national, regional, and localmeetings. Provide support at conferences through display andexhibits, as appropriate. Demonstrates motivation for continuedlearning through participation in team/self-paced opportunities togain additional knowledge to support oncology portfolio. Incollaboration with OCNE leadership team develops, implements, anddocuments performance and development plans. Performs alladministrative requirements in a timely, accurate and compliantmanner.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’sdegree preferred Active RN license or Advanced Practice degree (NP,PA) 5 years post graduate oncology clinical and/or educationalexperience, required Oncology/hematology experience in apharmaceutical/biotech industry, preferred Experience withspecialty products, preferred Previous launch experience a plusAbility to navigate and discuss complex clinical data, clinicaltrial experience a plus Excellent presentation skills, requiredDemonstrates critical thinking Passion for the patient, requiredAbility to travel up to 75% of time including overnights
