$106,604.71 – $170,567.54 The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is anurse who, through clinical experience, study and supervisepractice in patient care at the masters or doctoral level, hasgained expertise in a specific specialty area of patient careservices. The CNS demonstrates the advanced knowledge and skillsrequired for specialty nursing. The CNS is responsible andaccountable for the developement and application of specialtypractice standards, staff development, regulatory compliance andresearch to enhance the quality of care to the patient and thepatient’s family. As an advanced practitioner, the CNS is essentialto the management of complex patient and systems related issues.
