(Arden, NC) compensation: Hourly employment type: experience level: entry level job title: Activity Partner for Adult with Autism Companion needed for my adult brother with Autism. He is active and likes to spend time outdoors. He cannot drive, and has a daily routine that he adheres to that helps him maintain as many independence skills he can manage. He needs help with his getting ready routine the way a younger child might. He knows how to do everything, but not thoroughly. The available hours are Monday 8:30 am- 3:30 pm Monday 3:30pm to 8:30PM Monday 8:30 overnight shift Friday/Saturday/Sunday 8:30 am-3:30 pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday 3:30pm -8:30 pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday 8:30 overnight shift Some of the staff like to do an overnight shift following this shift, which is 8:30PM to 8:30AM. He is typically asleep by 9:30 or 10 (at the latest) so you can sleep, do homework, watch TV…overnight rate is a bit less per hour because he is asleep most of the time. You need to be kind, patient, and punctual, and have reliable transportation. He is kind and intuitive and has a deep understanding of who is kind and genuine. This is a great job for someone active with a chill personality. The evening shifts are very “homey” and chill. Ideally, you could do 2-3 shifts per week and have availability for coverage if someone on the team needs help or swapping shifts. Please tell me a little (or a lot) about yourself.
