Job Description

Academic Testing Technician (Part-time) 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 3000 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534 Primary Purpose Administer college testing and provide administrative support in the Academic Testing Center. Applicants must be available to work the following hours per week: Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., or Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Position Duties The applicant will be working in a testing center environment scheduling, administering, and proctoring testing, as well as provide sound and independent judgement when not under direct supervision. They will need to maintain a reasonably quiet and non-distracting environment. The applicant will administer standardized computer tests, as well as proctor make-up and accommodation tests. The technician will be responsible for administering and proctoring make-up tests, accommodation tests, and computer tests simultaneously. Applicants must multi-task activities and follow documentation procedures, keeping accurate records. Position Requirements An associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. Applicants must be proficient in using computer applications, such as Word, Excel, and appointment scheduling software. Strong skills in interpreting and following detailed written and verbal instructions are required, including but not limited to accommodation referrals, office protocols, and procedures. The ability to administer tests via a computer platform is essential. The applicant should also be adept at maintaining accurate files while ensuring confidentiality and be able to deliver excellent communication and customer service. Adherence to testing center policies and procedures is a key responsibility. A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred. Supplemental Information Unofficial transcripts from all degree-granting, institutions must be electronically attached to your application or submitted to Human Resources before being considered for an interview. To be considered, all degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education. Official transcripts for all coursework and degrees will be required within 30 days of hire .

Foreign Degrees:

Foreign degree evaluations must be attached in lieu of transcripts for degrees earned outside the United States. Transcripts from foreign institutions will not be considered alone.

Foreign Credential Evaluation Services:

Wayne Community College accepts foreign transcript evaluations only from the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. •Prices for transcript evaluations vary from agency to agency, and payment is the applicant’s responsibility.
