Job Summary Under the general direction of the CytologySupervisor and the Pathologists, performs cyto-diagnoses of benign,pre-malignant, and malignant disease on specimens with emphasis onfine needle aspirations. Performs and screens PAP Smears utilizingboth Conventional and Thin Prep techniques. Minimum QualificationsEducation Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology including a 12-monthCytotechnology Certification Program required; or Bachelor’s degreewith an additional year in a CAP approved Cytotechnology TrainingProgram Experience Minimum of one year experience as acytotechnologist or in a related position preferred Licensureand/or Certification CT (ASCP) registered required. SkillsExcellent customer service skills. Computer proficiency required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability tomaintain confidential information.
