Travel Job Description As a cytologist, also called acytotechnologist, you’ll analyze samples of cells under thedirection of a pathologist. Working in a laboratory at a hospital,private practice, outpatient center or other healthcare facility,you’ll process samples, view cells under the microscope, detectcellular changes, process patient data and more. You’ll play acritical role in maintaining sterile conditions, preventingdisease, and helping patients get the treatment they need.
