The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all patient information is handled according to HIPAA regulations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office. Perform administrative tasks such as updating patient records, managing inventory, and processing patient information Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in emergency situations as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, and infection control practices. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing excellent patient care.
