Position Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable Pediatric Dental Hospital Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pediatric dentists during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare examination and surgical areas with necessary instruments and materials Comfort and reassure pediatric patients and their families before, during, and after treatment Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral images Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in/out if needed What we are looking for: High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program preferred Experience in pediatric or general dentistry strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, child-friendly demeanor Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a clinical setting
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required At least 1 years’ experience in a Dental office preferred Knowledge or x-ray certification preferred Knowledge of Dental terminology preferred Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities Must possess a high level of flexibility and tolerance to adjust to changes in work loads and assignments Valid driver’s license is required
Schedule:
15-20 hours per week, schedule will vary.
