Dental Assistant Dental Lab Huntsville, AL 35806 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position involves assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Take medical imaging, including X-rays, as directed by the dentist. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including answering calls and greeting patients. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic. Skills Proficient in medical imaging techniques, particularly X-ray procedures. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health. Familiarity with dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is preferred. Previous experience in a dental receptionist role is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a pediatric dentistry setting is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and team members professionally. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
