The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Epic or similar software. Monitor and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage inventory of dental supplies, ensuring all materials are stocked and available. Support pediatric dentistry by providing specialized care for younger patients, making their experience comfortable and positive. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in general dentistry practices. Qualifications Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential. Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with medical documentation processes is beneficial. Understanding of vital signs monitoring techniques is an asset. Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile working environment. Experience or interest in pediatrics and pediatric dentistry is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
