Dental Assistant Dr. James L. Joy 602 Main Street West, Hartselle, AL 35640 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with aseptic techniques. Manage medical documentation, including patient records and treatment plans, using Dentrix software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform tasks related to general dentistry as needed. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and waiting areas. Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with dental terminology and documentation processes is advantageous Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
