Job Description

Dental Assistant Drake & Wallace Dentistry 1306 14th Avenue SE, Decatur, AL 35601 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and uphold the highest standards of infection control. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Taking Impressions, pouring of models, fabricating whitening trays and essix retainers Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in endodontic procedures as required. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for record management. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry. Proficient in managing medical records efficiently. Competency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software. Strong background in dental assisting practices, including knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health. Chairside experience needed with knowledge of making temporaries, dental technology including intra-oral scanning, in-office milling, and digital work flow. Ability to monitor vital signs accurately. Understanding of infection control standards in a clinical setting.
