Dental Assistant Neat Dental Bridgeport, CT 06606 Job Overview We are a newly opened dental office in town, seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our dental team to deliver high-quality care to patients while maintaining an efficient and seamless workflow within the clinic. This position requires a solid understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual preferred. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols. Maintain an organized and clean clinical environment to ensure patient safety and comfort. Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety standards. Manage patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic as needed. Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to foster a positive experience in the dental setting. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control measures within a dental clinic setting. Familiarity with prosthodontics procedures is a plus. Experience as a dental receptionist or in medical coding is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Previous experience working with pediatric patients is preferred. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively.
