Clinical Dental Assistant Dr. Sally Vail & Dr. Linda Robson 64 Washington St M, Mystic, CT 06355 Job Summary Low turn-over private dental office is seeking a friendly and experienced dental assistant to fill a 4 day/week position. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Manage patient scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up on cancellations. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience. Qualifications Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures related to general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft and intra-oral scanning is preferred. DANB CT Infection Control Examination Certified Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Certification in dental assisting or relevant experience in a dental practice is preferred.
