Dental Office Assistant Brilliant Sleep Gainesville and Hill Family Dentistry 1204 NW 69th Terrace, Gainesville, FL 32605 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Assistant to join our team. We are a small, family-oriented private general dental practice with an additional focus on dental sleep medicine. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional administrative support and customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, billing, and familiarity with dental software Dentrix. Expanded function dental assistant clinical experience requested! Duties Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment. Assist with Dental Sleep Medicine part of the practice Chairside assisting with dentist – EFDA preferred Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently. Assist with billing and insurance claims processing, ensuring accuracy in patient records. Maintain patient files, including care plans and treatment records, while adhering to confidentiality protocols. Provide administrative support by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient care and office workflow. Utilize Dentrix for patient management and record keeping. Educate patients on dental procedures, office policies, and payment options. Qualifications Previous experience (at least 2 years) in a dental office is required Proficiency in billing practices and understanding of dental terminology is essential. Familiarity with Dentrix dental software is preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in dental assisting or administration are preferred.
