Dental Assistant Vit Den Plantation, FL 33317 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in four-handed dentistry, and familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Duties As a Dental Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assisting the dentist during various procedures to ensure efficiency and patient comfort. Preparing and sterilizing instruments and treatment areas in accordance with safety protocols. Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Recording vital signs and maintaining accurate patient records. Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Managing appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic. Maintaining inventory of dental supplies and equipment. Ensuring compliance with infection control policies and procedures. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications: Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to assist effectively in general dentistry procedures. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow during treatments. Ability to take vital signs accurately for patient assessments. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable but not mandatory for motivated candidates willing to learn.
