The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile and efficient work environment. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as necessary. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for record keeping and patient management. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist effectively during general dentistry procedures. Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with dental software systems (Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus. Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and general dentistry practices. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
