Dental Assistant Lake Lanier Smiles 4965 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford, GA 30518 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant Lead to join our dynamic practice. This role is essential in overseeing the clinical team, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining efficient operations within the orthodontic department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in orthodontics and demonstrate leadership abilities while fostering a collaborative environment. Duties Lead and supervise the clinical team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care. Oversee the use of advanced systems, including 3D scanners, to enhance treatment planning and execution. Ensure accurate medical documentation is maintained for all patient interactions and treatments. Assist in four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures. Collaborate with pediatric patients and their families to provide a comfortable experience. Utilize knowledge of dental terminology and general dentistry practices to educate patients on treatment options. Manage the scheduling of appointments and coordinate with other departments as necessary. Monitor vital signs when required, ensuring patient safety throughout their visit. Maintain proficiency in Eaglesoft software for patient management and record keeping. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with industry advancements. Qualifications Proven experience in an General Dentist or dental clinical setting, Familiarity with prosthodontics is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical documentation practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Proficiency in using dental systems, including 3D scanners and Open Dental software.
